DESCRIPTION

Amazon Lab126 is looking for a leader to join the Hardware Product Management Office (PMO) team based in Sunnyvale. This role supports the Director, Technical Product Management, in bringing operational efficiencies to our development processes. In order to support the broader Devices and Services org's objectives, this role will bridge critical data and insights with strategic planning and operational mechanisms. This is a senior position that is responsible for driving long term initiatives to meet business goals.

You will collaborate with various business, operations, financial, and engineering teams across Amazon. Key job responsibilities
- Develop metrics and dashboards to track cross-functional performance of our development processes. Translate insights from the historical trends, including reports and documents, and share and interpret those learnings with senior leadership.
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostic analysis of current product development processes.
- Design and implement process improvement strategies.
- Actively explore and design scalable execution plans for long-term strategic planning opportunities to improve operational efficiency in execution and scaling of the Hardware Organization.
- Support forecasting/reporting actual resource requirements and analysis for both individual program-level reviews as well as annual planning cycles.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize the capacity of the Hardware organization and ensure we have the right teams in place to deliver against the device roadmap.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 8+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with end to end product delivery
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience technical product management

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements
- Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $161,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
