Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience in SQL, database design, and maintenance.
  • Experience working directly with UX teams or partners.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience evaluating, testing, and prototyping programmatic solutions using Generative AI tools.
  • Experience translating technical concepts into insights for audiences including executive leadership and operations teams through training materials, documentation, and presentations.
  • Experience with UX research operations, with an interest in learning more in this area.
  • Knowledge of the UX function within product development.

As the Technical Program Manager, you will lead the Data and Infrastructure pillar, collaborate with other pillar leads to define and manage the systems powering YouTube's user research participant recruitment.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full lifecycle of participant data ensuring compliance with privacy and data governance standards.
  • Analyze datasets using automation tools to generate insights that inform program strategy and development.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of tools and resources for users, including vendors and executives, and own program charters for initiatives such as database scaling and Generative AI integrations.
  • Translate ambiguous goals into clear milestones (e.g., AI deployment, capacity goals) and mitigate risks throughout development.
  • Plan and lead change management for new tools, data updates, and Generative AI implementations.
