Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience coding with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python).
  • 6 years of experience working with database technologies and data analysis (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
  • Experience in technical troubleshooting, and managing internal/external partners or customers.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
  • 6 years of experience working with client-side web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP).
  • Experience working with Payments systems or domain.
  • Experience working with Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence (AI).

As a Product Solutions Engineer working on Payments, you will work with top Merchants, Issuers, Networks, and Platform partners to provide digital solutions for their products, allowing end users to use Google tools to seamlessly pay for goods online and in-store. You will balance business and partner needs with technical constraints, develop innovative solutions and act as a partner and consultant to those you are working with and also build tools and automate products, oversee the technical execution and business operations of Google's partnerships, as well as develop product strategy and prioritize projects. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$216,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and resolve technical problems and roadblocks around data and tools access.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize and automate workflows across a wide variety of projects.
  • Work closely with Product Managers and Software Engineers to improve or develop new Google tools and products.
  • Collaborate with Consumer and Engineering teams to write code and implement tools to improve troubleshooting efficiency and the end user experience.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate with internal teams and external consumers, advertisers, and publishers to provide technical and business feedback as well as deliver technical solutions.
