Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience in one or more programming languages, including Java, C++, Python.
  • 3 years of experience with SQL/MySQL and Unix/Linux operating systems/commands.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience managing vendors or technical teams.
  • Experience with business process automation or process improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with using project management software such as Asana, Trello, or Jira.
  • Ability to manage and deliver large-scale, complex technical projects and coordinate with cross-functional project members, and use data to drive decisions.
  • Excellent relationship building, collaboration, consultation, influencing, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

As a Product Solutions Engineer, you will solve business problems with data and technical solutions. You will be the interface between the Product Management, Engineering, Global Sales, and Operations teams across Google. You will maintain a portfolio of projects and tools, ensuring smooth operations of our internal systems, while seeking new ways to streamline internal processes.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $123,000-$176,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Manage access and ensure availability of critical data and systems, in compliance with Google requirements and policies.
  • Develop and maintain internal tools and reporting systems. Contribute to and maintain developer documentation used by shopping FTEs and TVCs to ensure consistency.
  • Oversee a technical extended workforce team contributing to internal tools and reporting solutions, in partnership with Vendor Operations. Track utilization and budgets, and identify opportunities to increase Return on Investment (ROI).
  • Manage and deliver a portfolio of work that spans stakeholders across gUP Shopping. Manage expectations, communicate progress, and provide technical and business feedback.
  • Develop subject matter expertise in one or more shopping feature areas, serving as a primary point of contact to identify and deliver automation opportunities.
