Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
3 years of experience designing cloud enterprise solutions.
1 year supporting customer projects to completion.
Experience writing software in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, Go, JavaScript, C++, or similar).
Experience with deployment of application microservices in one or more cloud environments.
Preferred qualifications:
5 years of experience designing, building, and deploying software systems.
2 years of delivering customer workshops to understand/validate the user needs, discover technical issues, and provide technical solutions.
Experience leveraging containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, GKE) to design, build, and deploy scalable, production-grade microservice architectures.
Experience with scalable networking technologies (e.g., Load Balancers, Firewalls) and web standards (e.g., REST APIs, gRPC, OAuth, SAML, web security mechanisms).
Experience with cloud storage solutions, SQL/NoSQL datastores, and distributed computing technology (e.g., MySQL, Cassandra, MongoDB, Hadoop, Redis, Elasticsearch/Solr).

The Google Cloud Professional Services ProductWorks practice is responsible for designing, developing, and testing prototypes and MVPs of new software products in collaboration with Google’s most innovative customers. As a strategic Cloud Engineer, you will build prototypes and MVPs for customer projects alongside engineers, User Experience (UX) designers/researchers, and product managers. This team uses rapid iteration techniques such as the Design Sprint method and other approaches to rapidly create value for customers that are on their innovation journey with Google.Google Cloud accelerates every organization’s ability to digitally transform its business and industry. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $123,000-$176,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
Design and develop rapid prototypes and Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) for Google Cloud customers, leveraging a various set of technologies and frameworks to address business issues.
Collaborate closely with customers to understand their unique needs, translate technical requirements into innovative solutions, and ensure alignment with their objectives.
Lead and execute rapid iteration methodologies, including Design Sprints and other agile approaches, to accelerate product development and deliver tangible value efficiently.
Provide expert guidance and consultation to customers on best practices for building scalable, production-grade software solutions on Google Cloud.
Travel approximately 30% of the time to customer sites for on-site collaboration and engagements.
