Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction or equivalent practical experience.
  • 20 years of experience leading UX for multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Experience with analogous enterprise software domains.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Knowledge of ideation and development of creative and innovative solutions.
  • Ability to influence and drive product direction with cross-functional stakeholders at the VP level.
  • Track record in creating, executing, and delivering against a product roadmap and driving business impact within a high level of complexity.
  • Record of UX leadership for high quality design accomplishments leading to significant business impact, ideally in relevant enterprise software domains.
  • Strong product sensibility, with the capability to convert and drive key product innovations or opportunities within enterprise experiences.

We’re looking for an experienced design executive to lead the design and research organization for Corporate Engineering. As the Senior Director of User Experience, you will use your UX expertise to innovate and push the bounds of how Google operates.

Your work will influence product strategy to ensure Google transforms its operations through AI and end-to-end user centered thinking. You will own and oversee the strategy, vision, and delivery of desired UX and business outcomes to forge a path forward across Corp Eng UX and partner teams. Identify and nurture best practice and emergent solutions, and enable scaled application to drive user-centered experiences and principles that create business value and high user satisfaction.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $314,000-$436,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Create and drive a compelling experience vision and direction for Corporate Engineering products and services.
  • Envision how quickly evolving AI capabilities can drive innovation across the portfolio of products, creating efficiency and simplicity within complex enterprise workflows. 
  • Influence exceptionally across multiple product teams to deliver a cohesive and elegant user experience across value streams. 
  • Lead, evolve and inspire a team of passionate UX designers, researchers, content strategists, and UX engineers globally. Drive a healthy culture and support the collaboration and transparency between product areas, as well as multiple functions and locations. 
  • Possess an uncanny sense for envisioning and driving high-order logistics that help scale the team and function, and promote a high bar for craft and quality across the organization.
