Project Kuiper is a initiative within Amazon that aims to revolutionize global connectivity through the development of a state-of-the-art Low Earth Orbit (LEO) interconnected satellite communication constellation. Our mission is to bridge the digital divide by delivering high-speed, low latency, internet services to underserved and unserved communities and remote communities around the world. By leveraging satellite technology, we are working towards a future where everyone has access to reliable and high-quality internet connectivity regardless of their location.

The Kuiper Government Solutions (KGS) Engineering organization is a multi-disciplinary technology team established to rapidly address the needs of targeted government and international customers with specific solutions that have the potential to scale. KGS Engineering leads the development and delivery of targeted and scalable solutions for custom space and terrestrial applications. KGS collaborates closely with Project Kuiper to leverage the constellation of advance satellites to provide seamless and efficient communication capabilities to meet the needs of our customers. The KGS Engineering team is seeking highly technical and talented individuals who are passionate about creating unique solutions that result in a positive impact on a global scale.

The Production Manufacturing Engineer will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary team to architect, design, and implement processes and tools to manufacture at scale space-based and terrestrial product solutions. The Production Manufacturing Engineer will work closely with colleagues throughout Kuiper Government Solutions (KGS) inter-disciplinary teams and collaborate with key partners and suppliers to in order to ensure KGS products are manufactured efficiently with the utmost quality to ensure our system exceeds customer expectations. The Production Manufacturing Engineer must be responsive, flexible, innovate, and able to success within a collaborative, fast-paced, dynamic environment.

As a member of the KGS Engineering Integrated Systems Solutions organization, the Production Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for defining the system architecture, processes, and tools to establish the KGS production line, implement quality control standards, manage production costs, develop the manufacturing execution system, and establish continuous improvement initiatives. The candidate will be responsible for the process and tools that enable the build and test of one or more of the following: satellite bus components & subsystems, RF payloads, opto-electrical payloads, custom ground terminals, or custom user terminals. This includes analysis, optimization, and process improvements for continuous improvement across enterprise systems, equipment, tools, and facilities/site development. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the production manufacturing architecture supports all aspects of the product development lifecycle between product design and production processes, including early design for manufacturability/cost, for maximized efficiency and product quality balanced against adaptability and modular production flows.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience working on large-scale programs with a diverse set of talented individuals, as well as with partner organizations (including government agencies).

Security Clearance: This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance of TS/SCI.
