NVIDIA is seeking an outstanding Senior System Software Technical Lead to join our GPU System Performance and Power Management team. This team is at the heart of our innovation, coordinating end-to-end power management solutions from initial concept to mass production. You will play a pivotal role in crafting the design, architecture, and implementation of algorithms that define the efficiency of our products. As a technical lead, you will drive the strategy and execution for our next-generation power, performance, and thermal management technologies. This is a highly visible role that involves close collaboration with leaders across architecture, hardware, modeling, and marketing to deliver groundbreaking products to the world.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead deep technical dives into performance, power, and thermal management software, driving innovation for upcoming product roadmaps.

  • Define and strategize the scope of software work for NVIDIA's next-generation Client, Datacenter, and GeForce products.

  • Work with technical leaders across the organization to align on dependencies, track progress, and ensure we achieve critical product achievements.

  • Orchestrate pre-silicon and post-silicon bring-up, including feature enablement, quality assurance, and automated testing, to guarantee successful characterization and qualification.

  • Develop strategies with application engineering and marketing teams to build compelling educational materials that help partners and end-users realize the full potential of our innovations.

What we need to see:

  • BS or higher degree in Computer Science/Engineering (or equivalent experience).

  • 8+ years of proven experience in system software or a related field.

  • Expert programming skills in C, with a solid foundation in operating system internals, device drivers, real-time embedded systems, algorithms, and data structures.

  • In-depth knowledge of low-level power management fundamentals, including Dynamic Voltage and Frequency Scaling (DVFS), hardware/software-based closed-loop controllers, and power-saving features like Power Gating (PG) and Clock Gating (CG).

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with both hardware crafters and software engineers to craft and implement new features and solutions.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Proven architectural and design experience in SoC or GPU software power management and optimization.

  • Prior experience leading chip bring up activities.

  • Extensive hands-on experience developing CPU and GPU DVFS, power, and thermal controllers to optimize system-level and platform solutions.
