Join Amazon Photos as a Senior Product Manager Technical to enhance how customers search, discover, view, edit, and interact with their memories through AI-powered search and intuitive browsing experiences. In this role, you'll own end-to-end experiences that make discovering and interacting with memories both intuitive and delightful. You'll drive innovation in natural language search, visual AI capabilities, and editing experiences that help customers find, enhance, and share their most precious moments. Key job responsibilities
• Lead the development of advanced AI-powered search capabilities, enhancing how customers discover and interact with their photos and videos
• Drive the strategy for intuitive and engaging photo and video viewing experiences across core platforms
• Spearhead the evolution of photo and video editing features, balancing essential tools with innovative AI-powered creative capabilities
• Champion accessibility initiatives to ensure our products are inclusive and usable for all customers
• Partner with engineering teams to optimize performance and user experience for media viewing and interactions
• Develop and refine user-friendly navigation and browsing experiences that make exploring large photo libraries effortless
• Create cohesive media management solutions that streamline workflows for organizing, personalizing, and creating with photos and videos
• Collaborate with AI/ML teams to leverage visual understanding technologies in our product features
• Define success metrics and track progress for search, viewing, and editing experiences
• Lead cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact features that delight customers and drive engagement

A day in the life
You'll work closely with engineering teams, AI/ML scientists, UX designers, and other product managers to continuously improve our search and visual experience capabilities. A typical day might include:
• Analyzing search query patterns to identify opportunities for improvement in natural language understanding
• Reviewing prototypes for new AI-powered editing features
• Collaborating with UX research to validate new browsing concepts
• Working with accessibility teams to ensure inclusive design
• Coordinating with ML teams on model improvements for visual search
• Prioritizing features across Device, iOS, Android, Web, and Devices platforms
• Meeting with senior leadership to present vision and progress on key initiatives
• Evaluating partnerships for advanced editing capabilities

About the team
The Amazon Photos Product & Program team consists of Product Management, Technical Program Management, and User Experience Designers with vast levels of experience. Our team members come from diverse disciplines, various company sizes, and at least five countries. We share a passion for solving our customer’s problems, continuously improving our craft, and striving to become a center of excellence in Product Management at Amazon. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 7+ years of end to end product delivery experience
- 7+ years of technical product or program management experience
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience managing technical products or online services
- Bachelor's degree

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with concepts such as system architecture, optimization, system dynamics, system analysis, statistical analysis, reliability analysis, and decision making
- Experience with technologies like Hadoop, Rules based systems and Machine learning
- Experience in product management for consumer products

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
