As a Director within AWS Strategic Accounts, you will be responsible for building the strategy and sales motions for a segment of AWS’ most advanced customers. In this influential role: you will lead, build and develop a skilled team who will execute the strategy to increase the adoption of AWS in these very important accounts. You will be responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and market penetration in very large and complex enterprise accounts. You will drive engagements at the C-Suite level across organizations with a customer centric approach.

Key job responsibilities
* Develop and execute a comprehensive Strategic Accounts plan that will delight our customers.
* Drive revenue, adoption, and market penetration in strategic accounts.
* Drive engagements at the CXO level as well as with Line of Business Leaders across complex organizations.
* Create, articulate, and train the team on compelling value propositions around AWS to accelerate customer adoption.
* Work with partners (System Integration Partners, Channel Partners, Network Providers, and Independent Software Vendors) to extend reach and drive adoption.
* Serve as a key member of the Americas leadership team in helping to define and deliver the overall strategy and programs.
* Prepare and give business reviews to the senior management team.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 10+ years of direct field experience in working with enterprise accounts developing and executing strategies using multiple types of resources (Professional, Solutions Architects, Training, Partners) selling technology solutions.
- 10+ years of global leadership experience, proven people management and experience leading large, diverse teams
- Experience negotiating large contracts, coordinating closely with legal counsel and executives.
- Experience forecasting and territory management as well as sales planning and sales operations with a track record of exceeding revenue quota and new customer adoption goals.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- BA/BS degree required or equivalent
- Demonstrated ability to engage and influence C-level executives.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills. - Blend of experience with Fortune 100 businesses plus a demonstrated ability to operate in an entrepreneurial, agile environment.
- Ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.
- Consultative and value-driven approach to client relationships.
- Experience developing and facilitating appropriate sales motions to lead a team broad and deep in targeted accounts.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $224,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $333,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. This position is eligible for variable pay via a sales compensation plan. These plans pay according to achievement level against sales targets and/or business objectives.
