NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Chip Architecture Manager. In this position, you will be leading the architecture team on the definition, specification, execution and productization of our next generation GPUs, collaborating with ASIC, Software and Product teams.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Drive GPU architectures starting from exploration phase all the way to silicon tape out and bring-up as the architecture chip manager.

  • Lead a virtual chip team of IPs and domain experts. Drive architecture deliverables from initial investigations, determining plan of record, architecture specifications,  functional and performance models, validation, and chip bring up.  

  • Serve as the architecture team’s point of contact for the chip and interface to ASIC, Software, Business and Silicon productization teams.  

  • Work with competitive analysis, perf/power/cost modeling teams and partner with business units on product definitions.

  • Define and drive the project milestones working with software and ASIC counterparts to align dependencies and meet schedules.

  • Track execution progress and metrics, provide project status updates, recognize, and escalate problems and drive resolution/tradeoffs between schedule and features.

  • Drive continuous improvement through measuring and analyzing effectiveness/value of architecture features and the team’s execution efficiency.

 

What we need to see:

  • A Bachelor’s , Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related relevant field (or equivalent experience)

  • 12+ overall years of experience in GPU and system architecture background and exposure to HW/SW interfaces, OS, drivers

  • 5+ yrs of exp leading teams towards delivering chips and completed products 

  • Strong project management skills and ability to drive/influence a large team in a matrixed environment.  Experience with project planning,  staffing and schedule estimation.

  • Background with functional and performance validation models and methodologies.

  • Familiarity with performance and power projection methodologies and ability to analyze perf/w and perf/$ tradeoffs.

  • Familiarity with latest process , DRAM, and IO technologies

  • Prior exposure to one or more of Deep Learning,  GPU compute, Computer Graphics is a strong plus.

The base salary range is 272,000 USD - 471,500 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
