Job Summary: Amazon's global cross-channel, cross-category marketing team (XCM), is looking for a Creative Director – Copywriter to guide Amazon's global studios, leading the conceptualization, execution, and scaling of breakthrough, global 360 creative assets (TV, social, digital, OOH, etc). This role will be crucial in delivering concepts and copy in Amazon's unique brand voice. The ideal candidate has a passion for world-class work, is a digital native with global experience, a strong editorial background, and thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment. At Amazon, XCM Creative Directors are hands-on; a combination of creative powerhouse that rolls up to developing work as individual contributor, while also capable of collaborating and leading teams, both internal and with agency partners. We're looking for someone with strong strategic knowledge, who can make intentional choices, and is excited to tackle new creative challenges every day.

Key job responsibilities
• Proven copywriting skills, from campaign concepts, to headlines, to scripts, with an ability deliver engaging copy across a range of different brands and tones
• Effective at scaling creative campaigns across channels (broadcast, online video, digital, social, etc.) for global audiences
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and juggle multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong portfolio that demonstrates global experience and exceptional digital-first creative thinking
• Impeccable attention to detail, excellent grammar, and copy-writing skills
• 5-10 years copywriting experience at an advertising agency or in-house creative department
• Experience directly managing members of the creative team

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience leading creative development of innovative creative from concept to delivery
- Experience managing multiple projects and meeting aggressive deadlines
- Experience presenting creative concepts effectively to senior executives
- 8+ years of experience as a Creative Director, ideally in an agency, in-house creative, or digital production environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience managing creative (internal team of designers, copywriters, external agencies and freelancers)
- Experience developing digital campaigns for O&O channels that have global scale
- Experience in driving compelling creative strategy and execution at an agency or in-house creative team
- Outstanding conceptual and design abilities, with a strong portfolio demonstrating digital-first creative thinking

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $127,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $210,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
