We are seeking a Test Engineer to join our Reliability Testing team in Santa Clara, CA. This role supports NVIDIA’s automotive, server, embedded, graphics, and consumer products. Implement and complete test requirements for new technologies in early development with the product engineering team.
What You Will Be Doing:
Set up and operate test equipment for mechanical, environmental, and electrical testing, including Material Testing Machines, Temperature and Humidity Chambers, Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT), and Mechanical Shock and Vibration systems.
Schedule, prepare, and complete environmental and mechanical reliability tests in accordance with project timelines and specifications.
Collaborate with third-party laboratories, suppliers, and customers to coordinate testing activities and ensure compliance with standards.
Document and analyze test results, author detailed post-test reports, and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.
Provide mentorship on user documentation.
What We Need to See:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
3+ years of hands-on experience in a high-tech engineering or lab environment.
Strong background in working with electrical circuits and data acquisition systems to measure acceleration, temperature, pressure, force, strain, and other physical phenomena.
Proficient in writing, debugging, and driving test scripts; experience with programming for test automation is advantageous.
Proficient in spoken and written English, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively.
Familiarity with industry standards such as IEC, ISO, EIA, MIL-STD, Telcordia, and ISTA.
Experience with different operating systems, such as CentOS, Ubuntu, Tiny Linux, and Windows.
Knowledge of reliability monitoring metrics and performance indicators(KPIs).
Established proficiency in leading multi-functional teams and effectively communicating across departments.
Experience with reliability testing methods and best practices, including environmental chamber and mechanical test equipment setup, programming, and operation.

The base salary range is 100,000 USD - 166,750 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.You will also be eligible for equity and benefits. NVIDIA accepts applications on an ongoing basis.
