Amazon Sidewalk is looking for a Principal Technical Program Manager to help our multi-site software development teams deliver highly cross-functional features to build the platforms that power our network. You will work closely with our global teams to plan and coordinate the execution of complex business needs, while simultaneously keeping your team focused on meeting their own commitments. You will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to conceive of and help design components and building blocks to ensure secure software features for new products as well as maintain existing platforms. Technical Program Managers at Amazon Sidewalk must be capable of sorting through many competing priorities, defining processes that improve execution, championing Engineering best practices, executing with agility, and succeeding in a complex and fast paced environment. You will get the opportunity to have true ownership and effect real change to Amazon Sidewalk as it grows, dive deep to understand the underlying technologies influence technical architecture/design decisions. Key job responsibilities
- Collaborate with Business, Engineering, and other internal teams to plan and solve business needs
- Work with remote and multi-site teams to deliver and investigate integrated systems with internal and external party software and hardware
- Be expected to be familiar with system development cycle and key performance metrics
- Communicate regularly with senior management on status, risks, and change control
- Be expected to dive deep into the technical details of the program
About the team
Amazon Sidewalk is a new long-term effort to greatly extend the working range of low-bandwidth, low-power, smart lights, sensors, and other low-cost devices customers install at the edge of their home network. We believe customers shouldn’t have to settle for connected devices that lose functionality past the front door. With Amazon Sidewalk, customers will be able to place smart devices anywhere on their property and know the devices will work, even in dead spots where Wi-Fi and Bluetooth don’t reach, helping bridge the connectivity gaps around our homes!
- 10+ years of engineering experience
- 7+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $159,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
