Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in software development.
  • 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.
  • 5 years of experience in backend systems and distributed database development.
  • 5 years of experience in C++.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 8 years of experience with data structures/algorithms.
  • 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
  • Understanding of storage technologies (SAN, NAS, Object Storage, Cloud Storage) and cloud orchestration tools like Kubernetes and Terraform.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $197,000-$291,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain testing frameworks/platforms to improve the reliability, scalability, and performance of spanner and own the development and execution of sub modules, foster innovation and pushing the boundaries.
  • Guide and mentor team members, fostering their technical growth and career development and Implement coaching, succession planning, and strategies to build and maintain a performing team.
  • Partner with other engineering teams to gather requirements, define roadmap and translate them into technical solutions, and deliver results.
  • Architect and maintain quality, well-documented codebases through code reviews to ensure the team's output meets standards.
  • Collaborate to resolve roadblocks, remove dependencies, and ensure projects stay on track.
