Would you like to be part of a team focused on increasing adoption of Amazon Web Services by developing FSI customers in the insurance industry? Do you have the business savvy and the technical background necessary to help establish Amazon as a strategic business partner and preferred cloud provider? As a Account Manager, you will have the exciting opportunity to work directly with the C suite of enterprise insurance customers, leading a world-class cross functional team of architects, specialists, and technical account managers to drive AWS growth through helping our customers modernize their businesses through the use of the cloud, data, and AI. Your responsibilities will include earning trusted advisor status with the C suite, driving service adoption, usage growth and market penetration through the delivery of business impacting outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess both account management and technical background that enables you to drive an engagement at both the CXO level as well as with software developers and IT architects. You should also be a self-starter who is prepared to develop and execute against a territory coverage plan, acquire and develop new accounts, and consistently deliver on quarterly business goals.

About the team
The US Enterprise Financial Services team is the tip of the spear at AWS in the areas of executive engagement, cloud and AI adoption, and partner integration. The US Insurance team is comprised of our best technical and business development professionals, and supports existing customers who are using AWS to modernize and innovate. We work directly with CEOs of the world's largest carriers, including Property and Casualty, Life and Annuity, Re-insurers, brokers, and providers.
AWS also partners with global systems integrators, ISVs, and SaaS providers that are building mission-critical insurance applications on top of AWS.
- 5+ years of full sales cycle, technology sales or equivalent business development, sales engineering/consulting or equivalent experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software
- Experience in engineering, computer science, or MIS
- Experience driving new business in greenfield accounts at the C-suite level or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $83,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $177,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. This position is eligible for variable pay via a sales compensation plan. These plans pay according to achievement level against sales targets and/or business objectives. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
