Senior Manager, AI/ML Solutions Architecture - Strategic Accounts

As a Senior Manager of AI/ML Solutions Architecture, you'll operate at the edge of technical innovation and business transformation. You'll combine hands-on technical leadership with strategic impact, while collaborating with AWS service teams to influence product strategy and drive customer-focused innovation.

• Lead and develop a team of AI/ML Solutions Architects, providing technical mentorship and career growth opportunities while ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality solutions

• Drive technical strategy and architectural vision for generative AI implementations across strategic accounts, focusing on large language models, AI agents, and autonomous systems

• Partner with AWS service teams to influence product roadmaps and strategy based on customer needs and market opportunities

• Establish architectural best practices, reference architectures, and implementation patterns for enterprise-scale generative AI solutions

• Serve as a key technical advisor to senior executives, helping them navigate AI transformation initiatives and unlock business value

• Build and maintain deep relationships with technical decision makers and executives to drive adoption of AWS AI/ML services

• Represent AWS as a thought leader through speaking engagements, technical content creation, and participation in industry events

• Foster a culture of innovation and learning, encouraging experimentation with emerging AI technologies while maintaining focus on customer outcomes

• Collaborate with sales teams to develop and execute strategic account plans that drive significant AI/ML adoption

• Ensure adherence to AWS best practices for security, compliance, and responsible AI development across team implementations

A day in the life
A Day in the Life of a Senior Manager, AI/ML Solutions Architecture:

Lead strategic customer meetings where your team showcases transformative AI solutions. Coach Solutions Architects on complex generative AI implementations while reviewing architecture designs. Partner with AWS service teams to influence product strategy based on customer needs. Develop thought leadership content and prepare for industry speaking engagements. Guide executives through their AI transformation journey, leveraging your team's expertise in autonomous systems and AI agents. End your day mentoring team members and staying current with the latest developments in generative AI and large language models.

About the team
The Strategic Accounts and Specialist SA and EMEA Tech teams' mission is to create a future where our customer can build anything they can imagine, with fewer bad days. Your peers teams include other areas of deep technical specialty including data and analytics, network, security, and open source software.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of management of technical, enterprise customer facing resources or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience architecting/operating solutions built on any cloud service provider like Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI, etc.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience architecting, migrating, transforming or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud
- Experience in people management and CXO level engagement
- Experience in design/implementation/operations/consulting with distributed applications

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $180,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $312,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
