We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic thinker to lead analytics and insights for the North American Sales Operations team within the Amazon Shipping org. This role will focus on creating standardized reporting and insights for the North American business development team to drive revenue growth, enhance the decision making of senior leaders across the Amazon Shipping organization, and monitor the overall health of the BD organization. This role will work closely with our finance partners, creating BD and team-level goals and ramp plans, co-owning weekly/monthly/quarterly business reviews, and providing BD inputs into the OP1 process. Lastly, this role will work with other cross-functional partners (e.x. operations, business intelligence, business analytics, etc) to develop impactful analytics, uncover trends, and recommend strategies by identifying best practices as well as new reporting visuals.
A successful candidate has a track record of balancing deep analytical insight with strategy and planning, and a natural curiosity to seek out answers (and supporting data) for challenging questions. The ability to synthesize multiple, large data sets and provide recommendations to senior leadership is a must; as is a “roll up your sleeves” attitude.
Key job responsibilities
• Create and manage weekly/monthly/quarterly business reporting and associated key performance indicators (KPIs) that enable informed decisions relating to BD activity, account management, pipeline tracking, and productivity.
• Deep dive key issues and deliver insights and recommendations backed by data. Support the day-to-day needs of the BD organization
• Support the creation and management of sales forecast and associated team and rep-level goals
• Deliver data and insights to BD leaders to help improve the performance of their teams
• Enhance current processes, focusing on centralizing and automating reporting and eliminating manual, ad-hoc reports/dashboard/etc
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience defining, refining and implementing sales processes, procedures and policies or equivalent
- Experience conducting sophisticated and creative analysis of complex data and translate the results into actionable deliverables, messages, and presentations
- Experience working within a high-growth, technology company
- 5+ years of sales operations or equivalent experience
- Experience using Salesforce (or other CRM tool) or BI tools
- Experience presenting to senior leadership
- Experience developing and implementing systems/tools utilized for CRM, variable compensation, revenue reporting, forecasting, Salesforce automation, etc.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $120,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $199,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
