Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math or related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience in software development.
12 years of experience building and testing APIs or web applications, and designing scalable microservice or cloud system architectures.
6 years of experience as a Tech Lead or Engineering Manager leading systems design and integrations.
4 years of experience working with teams and business stakeholders to create product roadmaps.
Preferred qualifications:
10 years of software development and design experience creating system/product designs and leading them to launch.
Experience in multiple programming languages such as Java, C++, JavaScript, Typescript, etc, and supporting AIL/ML development and Agentic AI.
Experience in working with systems for collaborative code reviews, version control, continuous integration and automated testing.
Ability to cultivate a culture of engineering excellence through code reviews, sound architectural design, and predictable execution, while simultaneously fostering high-trust environment where engineers can do their best work and grow their careers.
About the job
As a Web Solutions Engineer on the YouTube Business Technology team, you will be responsible for managing solutions that make the broader YouTube organization more efficient. Your efforts will launch quickly and have an immediate and obvious impact on those around you.
You’ll be working as a part of an engineering team responsible for developing and supporting tools, prototyping proofs of concept, and writing/reviewing technical design documents to meet the needs of our services teams. You will adhere to Google’s software development best practices and work in close partnership with other project/product management and engineering teams.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $227,000-$320,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
Lead a team of engineers; set and communicate individual and team priorities that support organizational goals. Mentor and coach team members, providing regular feedback and support for their professional development.
Write and review technical documents, including design, development, revision documents and review code in compiled or scripted languages. Ensure that all technical solutions are designed in a way that meet enterprise technology standards using standard and Google-specific software development tools.
Lead global cross-functional engineering and Product teams to design, develop, and implement enterprise-level system integrations.
Understand the user experience by conducting user research, and working with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that the user experience is optimized.
