As a Senior Product Manager for Datacenter SoCs, you will drive developing and delivering brand-new silicon solutions that power the world’s most advanced data centers. This is a high-impact role central to the design and delivery of NVIDIA's Grace and Vera chips – representing a fast-growing CPU product line that also sits at the heart of accelerated datacenter products like Vera-Rubin: the flagship HGX programs built by NVIDIA. You will guide these chips from concept to launch, working closely with engineering, operations, and customers. Your leadership will keep everyone moving together toward shared goals – delivering performant, cost-effective and feature-rich silicon on-time, and delivering it to those that plan to apply it the best. You’ll ensure our solutions are reliable, efficient, and ready for the challenges of tomorrow’s data centers. Most importantly, you will help business success with the products and tools we have today, while applying core PM skills to measuring our technical merits and setting the bar ever-higher – as a team and as a product – tomorrow.
What you’ll be doing:
A successful product manager in this role will rigorously:
Identify and supervise key silicon performance indicators and cost drivers over the lifecycle of the product, using these measures to help craft product strategy, features, and pricing in response to rapidly-shifting competition, workloads, and customer needs.
Support marketing and sales by translating technical details into clear, compelling narratives for customers. Strong presentation abilities, and a flair for taking deep technical subject matter and distilling to essence and outcomes will stand-out here.
Define and manage product schedules, options, SKUs – and the silicon characterization behind them – with engineering and operations.
Ensure correctness and consistency across marketing materials, competitive analysis, assumptions on internal BOMs and cost models, and more. When data is not readily available, be ready to "use the force" to interpolate - and explain your rationale clearly and succinctly.
Take the lead on product quality, building solutions that achieve high standards for reliability and performance. Advocate for customer expectations and design-for-manufacturability. Resolve issues and drive compromises where everybody wins.
Work with partners inside and outside NVIDIA to understand demand, sampling expectations, and ensure timely delivery of our products prioritized against the partners that need access the most. Align the milestones they need to be successful. Ensure dependencies on components provided elsewhere in the ecosystem are considered, and readily available.
Advocate to executives when program adjustments are needed to balance the support of our business with company priorities.
What we need to see:
We’re seeking someone who enjoys working with a variety of people and ideas in an environment that iterates at rapid speeds. You should have an analytical drive and familiarity with competitive analysis, perf-per-watt and TCO analysis. Bringing perspectives on fundamental silicon engineering practices like binning – and having a mind for cost but a focus on value is key to exploring all the angles. You are organized, thoughtful, measurement-obsessed, meticulous and able to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences of varying altitude. You find spinning many plates and keep programs on the rails invigorating, and never lose sight of the big picture. You are a dynamic and experienced technologist ready to do your best work building amazing products. We value curiosity, collaboration, motivation, intellectual honesty and a dedication to continuous improvement.
BS in Computer Science, Engineering – or equivalent experience.
12+ years of experience
Background in datacenter hardware product management or a similar field, ideally with experience running silicon or server NPI programs – and a background that demonstrates consistent delivery of both hardware and software products.
Exceptional communication and organizational skills – backed with rigorous follow-through.
Ability to analyze data and use it to guide decisions, while bringing executives along for the ride with succinct and impactful updates.
A collaborative approach to problem-solving across partners with different expertise, motivations, and a desire to build a strong team identity that supports and celebrates success.
We offer an encouraging, flexible environment where everyone can contribute and grow. Our team values new ideas and different perspectives. If you’re excited to craft the future of technology, we’d love to hear from you.
