We are seeking a Sr. Data Scientist, to join ART19. ART19 is pioneering the future of podcast technology, serving hundreds of millions of downloads monthly for the industry's most influential shows. Our platform provides hosting, distribution, and ad-serving solutions that power content from major networks like Wondery, PodcastOne, and Dear Media. We're proud to support shows like "How I Built This" and "New Heights" through our innovative technology solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep curiosity and creativity to build data science based solutions. They should demonstrate the ability to incorporate the latest tech, tools, and methodologies like generative AI and LLMs to enhance our product offerings. Lastly, they should have experience and comport working with product, software engineering, and business intelligence engineering peers within and across teams.
Key job responsibilities
As a Sr. Data Scientist at ART19, you will act as the analytical engine behind podcast hosting and monetization - transforming publisher data into predictive tools, experimentation frameworks, and insights that empower growth. You’ll operate at the intersection of AdTech, software engineering, and strategic analytics - partnering closely with with cross-functional stakeholders to bring scalable, data-driven products to market.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Work closely with Product and Business Intelligence Engineers to develop, evaluate, and operationalize new metrics to measure the impact of ART19 product launches on podcast publisher needs and business outcomes.
- Work on large, complex datasets to develop models which will provide data-driven insights into publisher and advertiser behaviors.
- Design and deliver modern, flexible, and scalable solutions to integrate data from a variety of sources and systems across Amazon Ads.
- Identify and define approaches for creating and optimizing ART19 specific models and metrics through Amazon Ads science and data ecosystems.
- You will collaborate closely with product leaders on deep dives that translate complex data insights into actionable business strategies.
A successful candidate for this role has excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences. They work effectively on a cross-functional team and use their technical judgement to drive meaningful discussions. They have a passion for solving customer problems and have an excellent track-record on delivering impactful projects. They will well in highly ambiguous problem spaces and can drive alignment and clarity in direction amongst a set of stakeholders.
- 5+ years of data querying languages (e.g. SQL), scripting languages (e.g. Python) or statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R, SAS, Matlab, etc.) experience
- 4+ years of data scientist experience
- Experience with statistical models e.g. multinomial logistic regression
- 2+ years of data visualization using AWS QuickSight, Tableau, R Shiny, etc. experience
- Experience managing data pipelines
- Knowledge of AWS tech stack (e.g., AWS Redshift, S3, EC2, Glue)
- Experience as a leader and mentor on a data science team
- Experience with design, deployment, and evaluation of Large Language Model (LLM)- powered agents and tools and orchestration approaches

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $143,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $247,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
