Are you interested in growing the Public Sector business with a global, strategic ISV? Do you have experience building partnerships and selling to Public Sector customers? If so, the AWS Global Partner Account Manager (PAM) is the role for you. The PAM will build relationships with AWS and ISV leadership and align on strategy to drive net new business. You will work with AWS and ISV Field Sales, Solution Architects and Partner Marketing to develop and execute the strategy and tactics. The ideal candidate will possess a business background that enables them to engage at the CxO and the Business Decision-Maker level, as well as technical and sales personnel. Successful PAMs think strategically about the customers' needs first and align business, product, and technical resources and initiatives to help our customers' meet their missions.
AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.
Key job responsibilities
- Work with ISV and AWS Public Sector leadership to define the strategy to drive net new business
- Engage and enable ISV and AWS field sales and channel partners to drive awareness, joint solutions and customer engagement
- Develop and execute a joint go-to-market plan with AWS and the ISV
- Build repeatable, scalable growth initiatives based on the ISV's solutions and use cases
- Work with AWS and ISV Partner Solution Architects/Engineers to identify, demo and/or build Proofs-of-Concept for complementary AWS services to drive additional customer value to the ISV solutions.
- Execute a Business Plan to accelerate AWS revenue, target new markets, and ensure alignment with the AWS strategic direction and working with key internal stakeholders.
- Accelerate sales cycles and new solution development by leveraging AWS Partner programs.
- Understand the legal, compliance, security, technical, and procurement considerations specific to public sector that impact the ISV.

- Working with ISVs to drive both sell-to and sell-through business
- Working across internal stakeholders to identify and drive opportunities for named ISV account list
- Primary function is pipeline and revenue generation
- Manage opportunity creation, hygiene, and revenue growth

- 5+ years of direct sales or business development in software, cloud or SaaS markets selling to C-level executives experience
- 5+ years of business development, partner development, sales or alliances management experience
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of building profitable global partner ecosystems in Public Sector
- 5+ years of developing and executing detailed go-to-market plans with ISV partners
- 5+ years experience working with and selling to Government customers

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $83,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $177,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. This position is eligible for variable pay via a sales compensation plan. These plans pay according to achievement level against sales targets and/or business objectives.
