The AWS Startup team specializes in high-potential, rapidly scaling companies that have secured significant venture capital funding and demonstrate accelerated growth trajectories. This team provides crucial resources and architecture expertise, particularly in leading technologies like GenAI and edge computing, to fuel startup innovation.

The Startup team is seeking a Program Manager
to drive business programs and scale initiatives. This role combines program management excellence with operational execution to build and optimize mechanisms that accelerate our ability to serve startup customers globally.

Key job responsibilities
Business Programs & Scale:

• Design and implement scalable mechanisms to improve program effectiveness across the global Startup team
• Create and drive standardized business review mechanisms that enable data-driven decision making • Develop and execute initiatives to expand AWS's presence in the startup ecosystem through repeatable, scalable programs
• Build measurement frameworks to track and increase program ROI
• Create and maintain standardized approaches for complex cross-functional projects

Program Coordination:
• Act as the key coordinator across AWS teams to drive program alignment and execution
• Build and implement mechanisms to track program effectiveness and business impact
• Create scalable frameworks for program documentation and best practice sharing
• Drive operational excellence by streamlining processes and creating scalable systems
• Lead coordination of quarterly business reviews and annual planning processes

Cross-functional Leadership:
• Partner with teams across AWS to ensure consistent execution of startup initiatives
• Drive alignment across geographical teams to ensure global program consistency
• Develop and maintain executive-level communications and reporting mechanisms
• Create mechanisms to measure and improve program effectiveness

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
