If so, you would be the right person for the Senior Solutions Architect role on the Prime Video Sports Operations team, leading the expansion of Live Sports by bringing new sports leagues and capabilities to Prime Video. This role combines deep technical expertise with industry-specific knowledge to support the evaluation and onboarding of PV’s newest, most complex partners and leagues.

At the forefront of new deal evaluation, you will work across business and internal/external partner teams to identify and define technical metadata requirements, across software development teams to align on high-level, end-to-end engineering solutions, and across operational teams to ensure that solutions are scalable and durable for launch.

The ideal candidate brings a unique combination of enterprise-level technical depth, proven media industry experience, and exceptional relationship-building skills. You should have a demonstrated track record of architecting mission-critical solutions, understanding the nuances of broadcast standards, streaming protocols, and content workflows, while being able to translate complex technical concepts into measurable business value for entertainment executives.

Key job responsibilities
As a Sr. Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for building and leading durable programs to scale Live Events including:

• Collaborate with business, product, operations, and engineering teams to develop and execute the roadmap for live events.
• Assess partner requirements and technical capabilities to inform business and operational decisions.
• Provide technical expertise to inform integration solutions for complex problems with partners and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., launch managers, product managers, marketing) to define how live and on-demand content will be presented to customers on Prime Video.
• Work closely with sports media partners, metadata aggregators, and internal teams to deliver results and continuously improve processes for publishing sports content.
• Plan for future investments needed to support industry standards.
• Establish goals, plans, and related metrics, manage initiatives, and track progress to achieve efficiency and quality improvements.

A day in the life
You will define and execute programs to bring new sports leagues to Prime Video, launch and support live events, and drive/manage technical and operational efficiency efforts.

About the team
The PV Sports Operations Deal Enablement team ensures the smooth launch of new live events. We confirm stakeholder support for new deals (1P/3P rights, global sports, leagues, and teams) and provide technical guidance on metadata delivery and CX features for complex live events. We also lead alignment on fast-moving opportunities and drive investments for efficiency and scale. Collaborating with partners and internal teams (product, engineering, content acquisition, operations, execs), we ensure solutions support business growth, faster content launches, and enhanced customer experience.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing large-scale systems with high availability and performance requirements; experience with writing functional requirements to create new solutions or refine processes

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
- 5+ years of specific experience in media and entertainment technology, including broadcast systems, streaming platforms, or content management solutions; demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, product, business, and operations to deliver online products

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $239,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
