This position is part of the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization (ASP). Specialists own the end-to-end go-to-market strategy for their respective technology domains, providing the business and technical expertise to help our customers succeed. Partner teams own the strategy, recruiting, development, and growth of our key technology and consulting partners. Together they provide our customers with the expertise and scale needed to build innovative solutions for their most complex challenges.

AWS Specialist Solutions Architects (SSA's) are technologists with deep domain-specific expertise. SSA's work to unblock customers who have complex challenges that require expert-level knowledge to solve. SSA's craft scalable, flexible, and resilient technical architectures to address those challenges. They use pattern recognition to find repeated challenges and scale their solutions worldwide. Key job responsibilities
This position is part of the Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO), which is part of our sales organization. From this team, you partner with technical and business teams to drive go to market motions. You lead technical thought leadership for Serverless at the global level. You set direction and standards for how we solve customer problems in your domain. You bring the voice of the customer into our product development roadmap. The worldwide team sees the big picture and drives a global plan so the world’s most customer obsessed technical teams can make history.

The Serverless SSA will have deep expertise in AWS Serverless services including AWS Lambda, AWS Fargate, Amazon EventBridge, AWS Step Functions, and Amazon API Gateway.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
- Knowledge of software development tools and methodologies

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience working with end user or developer communities

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $239,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
