We are searching for a senior networking application engineer with domain expertise in Infiniband and/or NVLINK to help support our groundbreaking, innovative networking technologies that make AI workloads in large clusters even more performant for our customers. At NVIDIA, working closely with customers and R&D teams, you will have agency and be able to impart palpable effects on the business.
What you’ll be doing:
Support NVIDIA networking technologies such as Infiniband and NVLINK in AI clusters
Work with customers on their technical challenges and requirements using said technologies during pre-sales activities
Develop proof-of-concept materials for innovative technologies for use by early adopters
Gain customers’ trust and understand their needs to help design and deploy cutting-edge NVIDIA networking platforms to run AI and HPC workloads
Address sophisticated and highly visible customer issues
Work closely with R&D teams to develop new features for customers
Help with product requirements alongside engineering and product marketing
What we need to see:
10+ years’ experience with computer software, knowledge of Linux kernel, Ethernet and IP protocols
B.Sc, Masters, Ph.D., or equivalent, in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field
Familiarity with the Infiniband spec
Experience with distributed processing, HPC, and Message Passing Interface (MPI)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to details
Ability to work collaboratively and be willing to work directly with customers
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Coding development experience with multiple programming languages (from low-level C programming language to high-level languages such as perl, python, and shell scripts)
Knowledge in Cloud infrastructure and AI workflows
Familiarity AI workloads
Expertise in handling and performing diagnostics on the Infiniband fabric, as well as debugging issues on the host, switch, and subnet manager

The base salary range is 184,000 USD - 356,500 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.You will also be eligible for equity and benefits. NVIDIA accepts applications on an ongoing basis.
