The ideal candidate has extensive experience in giving creative guidance and feedback to show runners on outlines, scripts, and cuts and is fully versed in top talent - writers, directors, producers, actors - working in the region. Must have strong interpersonal skills and deep relationships within the industry, and excellent creative instincts on material. For this role, we are seeking someone who can apply their comprehensive knowledge of television landscape to identify & source development opportunities.

Key job responsibilities
- Build relationships with show creators and creative community
- Assess pilot proposals, scripts, and pitches
- Work with writers and artists to develop series ideas and scripts
- Supervise production when series are greenlit
- Primary liaison to other departments including Marketing, Press, Research, and Business and Legal Affairs.

The International Originals team provides customers around the world a compelling offering of authentic, culturally-relevant brand-defining TV and Movies that are broadly appealing, create word-of-mouth fans and advocates, and keep customers excited and proud to be Prime subscribers. To achieve this, we aim to differentiate our shows from other services by investing more dedicated time, resources, and budget to ensure we are raising the quality bar for local content, attracting the best on/off-screen local talent, and delivering content which has potential to reach the cultural zeitgeist in its home country (and potentially beyond).
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of successful tv, unscripted and film development studio, network, streamer or production company
- 5+ years managing a team
- Deep knowledge of industry talent and trends with a deep portfolio of industry contacts
- Fluent in English, Spanish and/or Brazilian Portuguese
- Extensive knowledge of the television and media industry
- Broad network of writers, producers and artists
- Self-motivated, passionate and able to work well in a team and alone
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment with a high volume workload
- Strong writing and excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in Spanish or Brazilian Portuguese a plus
- Proven track record of maintaining external and internal relationships

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $181,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $300,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
