DESCRIPTION

The Alexa Orchestration & FAA (Fire TV, Advertising & Appstore) orgs are looking to hire a Program Manager (PM) to lead workplace planning and location strategy. This role will support the space program that will continue to meet employee needs and foster an environment enhancing team collaboration. This leader will partner with the Devices Strategic Planning Team, org leaders, and Amazon Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) to create a forward-thinking strategy around space usage, plan for growth, and develop innovative ideas for the team as it relates to the work environment, productivity, and employee experience. The PM will also closely partner with the Finance, HR, and recruiting Teams regarding headcount forecasting and analytics to drive strategic projects and build a program that achieves optimal planning/operations processes and delivers a best-in-class employee experience within a dynamic Devices organization including model and design infrastructure buildout projects with future global rollout and constraints in mind.

Key job responsibilities
• Develop a structured program that defines the workspace requirements ; intaking strategic initiatives to improve employee engagement, retention and operational success
• Partner with Workplace Strategy team and Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) to understand supply/demand analysis, occupancy planning, space planning across Amazon and participate in company-wide projects and initiatives as appropriate
• Manage key relationships with business unit leads.. Advocate on behalf of Alexa Orchestration & FAA teams to enact desired changes, using data to drive decision-making
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, People Experience Team (PXT), GREF, Design & Build, and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS)
• Coordinate with Finance and Recruiting partners to analyze headcount data and forecast demand. Assist with troubleshooting and problem-solving headcount discrepancies
• Establish, enhance, track, and report on metrics
• Negotiate best capacity stack plans taking into consideration adjacency requirements and managing trade-offs between employee experience and cost effectiveness
• Understand current Amazon internal systems capabilities and limitations, including Facilities Management (FM) Systems, Quicksight, Brady, HR Data Mart, inside.amazon.com, PeopleSoft and SIM Ticketing
• Create and maintain accurate floor maps using internal and external design systems
• Proactively monitor and update SIM Tickets ensuring updates are communicated or escalated as appropriate
• Create visibility around process gaps and communicate improvement recommendations
• Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within and between various project stakeholders

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Bachelor's degree
- Basic understanding of corporate facility management and/or Head Count (HC) planning

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 2+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
