This Infrastructure Migration and Modernization Specialist role has regional responsibility and is part of the US Specialist Sales team established to position AWS as the best place for Telco, Media, Entertainment and Games customers to host their production workloads and modernize their IT infrastructure.
As an Infrastructure Migration and Modernization Specialist focusing on Telco, Media, Entertainment and Games customers, you will be responsible for working with large strategic customers in these industries and their existing account teams to qualify and pursue sales opportunities for enterprise application workloads and datacenter migration projects. You will engage with our segment sales, solutions architects, partner and professional services organizations to drive large and highly complex opportunities to closure.
These opportunities will include migrating mission-critical applications, content delivery systems, streaming platforms, game servers, and VMware-based workloads to AWS cloud native services. You'll be leveraging AWS EC2 and native services to design and implement solutions that meet the unique needs of Telco, Media, Entertainment and Games customers.
Your commitments will include quota accountability, driving platform adoption within global Telco, Media, Entertainment and Games accounts, market penetration in new and existing enterprise accounts, as well as creating public references. You will be responsible for positioning AWS's comprehensive migration and modernization solutions for VMware to AWS EC2 migrations, helping customers move their virtualized workloads to native AWS services, and adoption of AWS native services to modernize applications.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 7-10 years of enterprise sales or business development experience with quota accountability
• 5+ years selling complex database, datacenter and cloud technologies.
• 5+ years of VMWare sales, Microsoft Licensing, including License Mobility and Volume Licensing (such as EA).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience selling Vmware, Windows Server, SQL Server or Azure
• Experience working at Microsoft or a systems integrator partner
• Experience with data center migrations
• BA/BS degree. A technical background in engineering, computer science, or MIS a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $128,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $212,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
