DESCRIPTION

Amazon MGM Studios is seeking a dynamic and innovative executive who can create and execute strategic field and multicultural PR and promotional campaigns. Must be well versed in creating outreach and engagement campaigns that are inclusive and culturally relevant. Past work on social impact campaigns is a plus. Must have strong media relationships Will have previous experience working on a diverse slate of theatrical film campaigns and be familiar with the global film festival and convention landscape. Successful candidate will be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and work collaboratively with the media, social, creative and international teams.

This position is based in Culver City, CA.

Key job responsibilities
• Create and execute targeted campaign strategies for all theatrical film releases
• Establish best practices for management and execution of all key multicultural and field activations
• Manage daily oversight of all facets of regional film campaigns which includes planning publicity schedules, PA Tours, regional premieres, events, press days, and stunt activations
• Ideate, plan and execute experiential activations at film festivals and conventions in concert with digital and national PR, and marketing teams
• Create word-of-mouth, tastemaker and promotional screening programs and oversee targeted tastemaker outreach
• Oversee strategy, execution and agency engagement for targeted and multicultural campaigns
• Manage regional critics group outreach for theatrical and awards release campaigns
• Identify, research and recommend partnerships with appropriate influential media and cultural organizations in culture, entertainment, sports and music
• Work with global teams to set regional and global festival strategy and roll-out to ensure that all are aligned with marketing objectives
• Liaise with media team to generate added-value media promotions in market and across social platforms
• Participate in and prepare presentations for filmmaker and marketing meetings
• Liaise with distribution to map out cross-promotional opportunities with exhibitor marketing (including grassroots efforts, loyalty program screenings, in theater q&a’s)

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 7+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience
- Bachelor's degree

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 10+ years of theatrical publicity experience
- Experience at a major studio or entertainment company
- Experience managing multi-faceted PR campaigns in markets across the US
- Established relationships with diverse media outlets, talent agencies, publicists, regional festival and convention programmers
- Strong understanding of the evolving media landscape
- Experience working across theatrical and streaming windows
- Proven track record of frugal budget management and reporting
- Genuine love of all film genres and pop culture is a plus

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $114,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $188,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
