As AWS continues to rapidly grow, we are seeking experienced Database Solutions Specialists to own, operate and help define GTM strategy for a named set of accounts within the Independent Software Vendor (ISV) Segment. You will manage the database strategy for established SaaS companies that are either cloud-native or in various stages of cloud migration. These accounts have complex infrastructure requirements, and you will be selling into multiple lines of business, including product owners and technology teams. You will be responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and market penetration of our database portfolio.
In this role, you will influence customers to build, shape, and accelerate their AWS Database business. As a Database Solutions Specialist, you will develop and execute strategies to drive adoption of AWS's key database solutions, including: relational databases (Amazon Aurora, Amazon RDS), purpose-built databases (Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon DocumentDB, Amazon Neptune), caching (Amazon ElastiCache), and database migration services (AWS DMS). Key Job Responsibilities:
• Lead a Customer Obsessed business focused on helping ISVs optimize their database strategies and architectures
• Accelerate customer adoption through comprehensive GTM Strategy to achieve specific customer outcomes
• Drive C-level/VP-level engagements with both technical and business stakeholders
• Drive market share while achieving/exceeding revenue and non-revenue goals
• Execute complex database migration and modernization deals
• Create and articulate compelling value propositions around AWS Database Services
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive AWS database service adoption
• Build and leverage partner relationships to extend reach and drive adoption
• Maintain strong understanding of database industry trends, particularly in SaaS and ISV spaces
• Work as a key member of the account team to ensure commercial success in building database solutions on AWS
You will partner with solutions architects and professional services teams to ensure successful execution of migration projects while helping customers leverage AWS's latest database innovations and best practices for their specific use cases. This comprehensive approach will enable ISV customers to fully modernize their data landscape, taking advantage of AWS's robust and flexible database offerings.
You will be an integral part of your area or country specialized sales leadership team, and will apply globally developed migration and modernization sales plays locally in a data driven way.
Your excellent verbal and written communication skills will allow you build sales enablement tools, evangelize our platform with our enterprise and mid-market customers as well as our valued partners
The ideal candidate will possess both a business background that enables them to drive an engagement and interact at the CxO / VP level to drive awareness, as well as background that enables them to credibly interact with IT leaders, software developers, and infrastructure and applications architects. He/she should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions, and work across the business to set vision, objectives and to build consensus. A keen sense of ownership, drive, and desire to dive deep is a must.

- 7+ years of technology related sales or business development experience.
- Direct field experience working with Enterprise customers.
- Experience creating a strategic customer account plan
- Demonstrated ability to create and develop executive customer relationships
- Previous experience selling cloud services

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $128,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $212,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
