Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a Senior Leader of Solutions Architecture who is passionate about leading teams of Solutions Architects helping our customers build infrastructures and applications at scale.

Our Solutions Architects team is seeking candidates with a variety of skills to help shape and deliver on our cloud strategy for our global customers and partners. As a solutions architect leader, you will be on the front line of helping customers succeed using AWS technologies, linking technology with measurable business value for organizations ranging from start-ups to large, enterprise customers. You will be a trusted customer advocate, helping our partners understand advanced cloud-based solutions and how to migrate existing workloads to the cloud. We need innovative leaders who can look beyond the technology and consider the value our technology creates for our customers, and can help change how our technology is viewed. This is critical for the role.

The role is responsible for shaping and executing the technical and business strategy on how AWS teams help customers adopt advanced cloud-based solutions and migrate existing on-premise workloads to the cloud. This individual will hire and develop industry’s best cloud solutions architects on solution selling, setting and driving strategy and goals, as well as how to continuously learn complex new technologies & how they translate to business results. The successful candidate must be a proven leader, and will draw upon experience in technical leadership, go-to-market solution positioning, pre-sales, professional services and working in both a direct and matrix operating structure. The individual must have deep experience in managing and growing senior technical leaders and teams across solutions architecture, customer success and/or partner solutions architecture.

Your responsibilities will include strategy, thought leadership and execution applied towards driving value creation for our customers and developing influence at the Executive and VP level. You will also need to be adept at interacting, communicating and collaborating with other departments within AWS such as support, service teams, business development, marketing, partners, and professional services, as well as representing your team to executive management.


Key job responsibilities
- Ensure customer success in leading a team of Solutions Architects designing, building and migrating applications, software, and services on the AWS platform
- Be an AWS evangelist. Help educate customers of all sizes on the value proposition of AWS
- In partnership with the sales leaders, formulate, and execute a sales strategy to exceed revenue objectives through the adoption of AWS
- Build deep relationships with senior technical executives within customers to enable them to be cloud advocates
- Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solutions architect community

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 10+ years of management of technical, enterprise customer facing resources or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience architecting/operating solutions built on any cloud service provider like Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI, etc.
- 5+ yrs of management of leaders of technical, enterprise customer facing roles.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience architecting, migrating, transforming or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $180,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $312,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
