Data Center Security Manager, Compliance, Safety and Risk

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 3 years of experience completing operational or project based work and tasks.
  

Preferred qualifications:

• 3 years of experience in coordinating or managing resources for data center locations, including conducting audits or research to identify process deficiencies or areas of improvements.
• 3 years of experience in managing, sourcing, or procuring business resources and vendors.
• 1 year of experience working with information/data to generate solutions, including experience using data to develop business plans and strategies.
  
• 1 year of experience with physical security system architecture, components, installation methods, administration, and troubleshooting.
  
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information and High ethical standards.
• Ability to work in an environment that is dependent on systems and technology on a daily basis.

As a Data Center Security Manager, you will focus on executing tasks of a project with minimal escalation, under some guidance from your manager. You will manage the daily operations of vendors and serve as the next level escalation point for security-related incidents; coupling industry standard tools and current security technology to solve defined problems. You will use your knowledge of physical security principles to plan small-to-medium-sized initiatives by delivering value-added perspectives and influencing project direction. You will also demonstrate the behaviors expected of all Googlers as captured in Google's cultural pillars, and you engage in community contributions to improve and sustain our culture, making Google a better place to work.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $83,000-$119,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

• Work with a senior Security Manager, support day to day management of the compliance, security, and risk management program at a Data Center or related infrastructure, which includes completing tasks related to site security incidents, escalations, guard contract management, and all other physical security-related issues.
• Participate in after-hours emergent, large-scale events. Implement Security Operations actions directed by the Crisis Management leadership team.
  
• Implement established compliance processes aligned with policies, standards, guidelines, and relevant legal or regulatory requirements.
  
• Participate in investigations related to Code of Conduct and other business violations including worker injuries and security incident investigations. Research and report on local factors for completion of Threat, Vulnerability and Risk Assessments (TVRA).
• Understand security-related costs through budget, forecasting, and invoice control; assisting management with financial analysis for security requirements.
