As a Materials Manager at Amazon Devices, you'll be the driving force behind our supply chain execution, ensuring seamless order fulfillment for products that delight millions of customers. You'll orchestrate complex global operations, working directly with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) partners and cross-functional teams to deliver results at scale.
Key job responsibilities
1. Supply Chain Leadership
o Own end-to-end materials management from forecast to delivery
o Manage the clear to build weekly supply response process as part of our master planning cycle.
o Drive daily operations with global OEM partners
o Lead shortage resolution and risk mitigation strategies
o Develop and optimize supply chain processes
o Deal with ambiguity with minimal Manager guidance
2. Stakeholder Management
o Serve as primary liaison between OEM partners and Amazon teams
o Build strong relationships with global suppliers
o Represent materials organization in key program meetings
o Participate and lead strategic category discussions
o Collaborate across engineering, planning, and operations teams
3. Operations Excellence
o Monitor and drive OEM performance against goals
o Implement data-driven process improvements
o Manage material shortages, sourcing efforts, and supply risks
o Create and maintain critical business metrics
4. Strategic Planning
o Develop and communicate material forecasts, including commit, decommit, and assumption scenarios
o Drive inventory optimization strategies
o Identify and execute process improvements
o Lead supply chain innovation and improvement initiatives
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or related field
• 7+ years of program/project management experience
• 7+ years working cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams
• 5+ years of supply chain experience
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLookups) and SQL proficiency
• Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to drive process improvements
• Experience sourcing materials including hard to find/obsolete parts
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and financial modeling
• Experience at writing clear, concise documents and presenting to leadership.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and mentoring junior staff
• Experience managing contract manufacturers in Asia
• Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing principles
• Mandarin language skills
• MBA or related advanced degree
• Experience with ERP systems
• Track record of process innovation

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
