Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms.
3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
3 years of experience with GenAI techniques (e.g., LLMs, Multi-Modal, Large Vision Models) or with GenAI-related concepts (e.g., language modeling, computer vision).
3 years of experience with ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, optimization, data processing, debugging).
Preferred qualifications:
Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
Experience developing accessible technologies.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $166,000-$244,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
Develop and scale the Food AI platform to accommodate a growing customer base.
Use a data-driven approach to analyze opportunities for improvement in Food AI, propose innovative solutions, and collaborate with relevant teams to land them.
Take full ownership of the Food AI feature development life-cycle, from initial idea experimentation, design, implementation, deployment, monitoring, and ongoing optimization.
Partner with various Vertex and Gemini teams to improve the quality of the foundation Large Language Model (LLM) and speech-to-text model.
