DESCRIPTION

Amazon is looking for a talented and experienced Senior Vendor Manager to join the Major Appliances team. This position will execute a hybrid role between Vendor Management, working with highly strategic vendors to build a nascent business, and Product Management, designing the critical customer and operational infrastructure to provide a world class customer experience. This person will use data to identify key opportunities, initiate long term relationships with brands’ senior management, resolve any operational, logistical or business issues, negotiate on Amazon’s behalf, and once signed, help the brands onboard and grow on the platform. The candidate should have experience in building strong relationships, driving significant top and bottom line results, managing projects across multiple internal and external functional areas, and be comfortable balancing multiple responsibilities within a fast-paced environment. They must have both the presence and communication skills to represent Amazon at all executive levels of an organization and the curiosity and entrepreneurial spirit to invent on behalf of our customers. The candidate must be customer-obsessed and adept at using extensive amounts of data paired with anecdotal evidence to drive metric-based conclusions on novel subjects. This person needs to have a deep curiosity about how things work, and a passion for creating a world class shopping experience for our customers. The right candidate stays on top of industry trends, and is able to execute at both a tactical and strategic level to drive selection, sales, and margin growth, while also improving our customer experience and education. Proven project management skills, attention to detail, negotiation expertise, and exceptional organizational skills are musts. #ReinventRetail
