This Principal Technical Program Manager role will drive Lab126's global regulatory strategy across our diverse portfolio and launch countries. You will partner with experienced cross-functional teams such as hardware, software, operations, public policy, and legal to anticipate regulatory changes, influence industry regulations and standards, and shape our approach to ensure compliance with the evolving regulatory landscape. Your contributions will span the entire product lifecycle and help ensure that the products we build are safe and compliant for global markets.
You will develop and execute strategic initiatives that address evolving regulatory landscapes while enabling innovation across the product portfolio. Your role will focus on anticipating and shaping regulatory developments through proactive engagement with public policy, legal, industry bodies, and authorities. You will create large-scale, forward-looking compliance frameworks and develop scalable mechanisms. You'll develop data-driven strategies and lead cross-functional teams to implement strategic compliance initiatives across multiple product and business lines. Success in this role requires strategic thinking, technical compliance engineering depth in one or more areas, and strong ability in handling risk and ambiguity. You must excel at communicating complex regulatory matters to senior leadership, driving consensus across diverse stakeholders, and making sound trade-off decisions that balance innovation with compliance requirements. Your ability to anticipate challenges, manage risk, and maintain focus on customer trust while supporting business objectives will be critical to this role.

* Lead engagement with industry bodies and regulatory authorities to influence standards and regulations
* Develop scalable mechanisms for regulatory intelligence, risk assessment, and compliance processes
* Guide cross-functional teams through complex regulatory challenges to achieve business-critical goals
* Create strategic initiatives to address emerging regulatory challenges while enabling innovation
* Anticipate bottlenecks and develop risk mitigation strategies in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
* Lead creative problem-solving of technical and non-technical regulatory challenges
* Communicate regulatory strategies and risks effectively to senior leadership
* Build strong relationships with public policy, legal, and business stakeholders
* Monitor global regulatory landscapes and assess impact on product development strategies
- 10+ years of engineering experience
- 7+ years of technical product or program management experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- 7+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams, public policy, legal and regulatory stakeholders
- Demonstrated track record of developing and implementing strategic initiatives
- Proficiency with project management tools and methodologies
- 5+ years of experience as a regulatory or safety compliance engineer
- Experience in consumer electronics or technology sector
- Track record of successful engagement with regulatory bodies and industry standards organizations
- Experience developing compliance strategies for emerging technologies
- Knowledge of global market access requirements and certification processes
- Experience with safety standards and risk assessment methodologies
- Strong network within regulatory authorities and industry organizations
- Strong understanding of global regulatory frameworks and compliance processes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to influence senior executives
- Experience leading cross-functional teams in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
- Proven ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $159,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
