DESCRIPTION

PLC (Policy, Legal, Communication's) Billing is seeking a Sr. Billing Analyst to support the CCR (Communications and Corporate Responsibility), Public Policy, Legal and IXT business teams. Responsibilities include setting up new vendors as Amazon payees, opening purchase orders, processing and reviewing invoices to ensure adherence to billing requirements and timely payment, researching questions regarding status of payment, performing other billing tasks as needed, learning country-specific billing processes and acting as the billing point of contact for team members, vendors, and other internal departments in various countries. In addition, the Sr. Billing Analyst trains and provides guidance to the Billing and Business teams, assigns and delegates tasks, identifies areas for improvements, finds tech and non -tech solutions and documents processes.

The successful candidate possesses the ability to work efficiently and independently, manage high volumes of tasks and projects with little guidance, react with appropriate urgency to situations and events that require a quick response or turnaround, take effective action without having to know the total picture, think creatively and be proactive in solving problems that affect people within the group or other related groups. The right candidate is client-service oriented, pays great attention to detail while still meeting tight deadlines, has strong organizational skills, and can lead and guide the team. A high level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential information, as well as the ability to work well with people at all levels inside and outside the company is essential.

Key job responsibilities

• Set up new vendors as Amazon payees
• Open purchase orders and process invoices
• Review invoices for adherence to billing requirements
• Ensure timely payments and research payment status inquiries
• Act as billing point of contact for team members, vendors, and internal departments
• Lead process improvement efforts
• Work closely with PLC Finance to ensure accuracy in financial reporting


A day in the life
You will assist global internal teams in Legal, Public Policy, Communications and IXT with all their billing transactions. You will assist vendors with their payee status and payments. You will work with Finance to ensure all transactions are accurate and accounted against budgets.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
