Optics Metrology Lead

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a specialized field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP, etc.), or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of experience working in an Optics Metrology technical environment, or 5 years of experience with an advanced degree.
• 3 years of experience in technical leadership.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Optics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3 years of experience in optical metrology methods and instrumentation, including camera and imaging systems.
• Experience in a laboratory setting working with optical testing equipment.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $174,000-$258,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

• Lead the Optics Metrology team to bring up metrology tools for hardware products and components.
• Design and develop metrology equipment for consumer hardware testing in components level and device level.
• Perform characterization tests and contribute to the development of new test metrics, as well as new test stations (where applicable) for prototype subsystems and system (Device level) assemblies.
• Evaluate subsystem assembly and Device level performance via image quality, radiometric and colorimetric quantities, and compare vs established metrics.
• Assist in automation of image capture and processing, including development of new strategies and processing algorithms where applicable.
