Amazon Web Services is seeking a Storage Specialist Solutions Architect to join our Enterprise, Financial Services, and Healthcare & Life Sciences (HCLS) team.

Amazon has made significant investments in developing solutions that maximize the value of your storage infrastructure. We're seeking a Solutions Architect for our Storage team who will serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in designing sophisticated customer solutions. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with customers to enable large-scale implementations and accelerate adoption of advanced AWS services. You'll partner with field Solution Architects to provide guidance on customer engagements, while creating white papers, blogs, reference architectures, and presentations that empower customers to fully utilize AWS capabilities.

Our Specialist Solutions Architects are recognized as technical visionaries who champion emerging technologies both conceptually and architecturally. They play an instrumental role in advancing cloud computing adoption within the Enterprise space. These individuals think innovatively to deliver results and design solutions that are cost-efficient, mission-aligned, and security-focused. As part of our team, you'll employ a customer-centric approach to develop AWS storage solutions and orchestrate the migration of complex workloads to the AWS cloud.

Key job responsibilities
- Be a subject matter expert on AWS storage services for our Account teams and customers.
- Represent the voice of the customer; bring customer feedback to product teams to influence feature development and future product roadmap.
- Provide advanced technical knowledge to unblock our customers’ largest and most critical business challenges.
- You will have the technical depth and business experience to deploy storage and data strategies
- Act as a thought leader sharing best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures and public-speaking events such as AWS Summit, AWS re: Invent, etc.
- Partner with Sales Specialist teams to define the technical components of best in class GTM concepts, solutions, and initiatives.
- Develop and support an AWS internal community of technical subject matter experts worldwide.
- Create field enablement materials for the broader SA population, to help them understand how to integrate Amazon Web Services solutions into customer architectures.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in technology/software sales, pre-sales, or consulting
- Experience working with enterprise scale storage systems
- Experience with Block, Object, and File Storage Technologies
- Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
- Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $239,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
