Would you like to lead a sales team focused on accelerating customers’ innovation via AWS Generative AI/ML, Database, and Analytics services? Do you have the business acumen, technical background, and sales skills necessary to build and develop a team that works backwards from customer innovation goals into an AWS technical solution?
Amazon Web Services is looking for a Specialized Sales Manager to lead a team of data specialty sellers for the Independent Software Vendor industry. This team has sellers across the domains of Analytics (with Amazon Redshift, Amazon EMR, Amazon Lake Formation, Amazon OpenSearch, Amazon Glue, etc), and Database (Amazon Aurora, Amazon RDS, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon ElastiCache, etc), and Generative AI/ML (with Amazon Bedrock, Amazon Sagemaker, Amazon Q, etc), You will be responsible for hiring and developing the best team of sellers for these domains to help ISVs innovate. This role coaches on executive relationships, working backwards business case, qualification strategies, pipeline acceleration tactics, and scaling via the #oneteam of SAs, core account teams, Go-to-Market teams, partners. You will partner with core sales leaders and specialty SA leaders to set territory design, customer segmentation, and account and opportunity planning. You will drive solution sales that maximize business value and utilizes multiple AWS data domain components, such as Bedrock Nova with OpenSearch Knowledge Bases and Aurora for customer data. Your focus is territory planning and quota setting, sales coaching and development, quota accountability and forecasting, pipeline creation and acceleration, and scale program coordination.
The ideal candidate will have both a sales and technical background that enables them to drive an engagement at the Executive level. ISVs are inherently technical as software is their product, so you need to have ability to earn trust with Chief Product Officers, VPs of AI, Chief Data Officers, and CTOs. - Lead, Coach, and Develop a team of Specialty Sellers responsible for solution selling
- Identify and qualify leads, generate opportunities, and close deals.
- Build strong relationships with customer executives and partners.
- Develop and deliver compelling narratives and stories.
- Set, plan, adjust, and ultimately achieve team sales targets
- Participate in training programs to stay current on the latest sales strategy, technical content, and leadership development.

The ISV Data Specialty Sales team helps software companies innovate faster with database, analytics, and generative AI/ML solutions. It is an exciting time as ISVs fundamentally transform their products with generative AI, fueled and differentiated by data and analytics. This team #makes-a-difference by bringing specialized skills in use case identification, qualification, and acceleration. We are an integral part of the #oneteam that owns customer innovation.
- 5+ years of sales management experience
- Experience managing time efficiently, meeting personal goals, and working effectively with internal, partner, and customer teams
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- ISV data experience
- Experience using data and trends to articulate business needs

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $187,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $278,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
