The Global Programming Strategy team owns content programming and release strategy for Prime Video, employing a deep understanding of distinct audience cohorts, content analytics, market dynamics, and supply constraints to deliver a customer-obsessed streaming slate. The group drives the composition of Prime Video's original and licensed content portfolio, and crafts the release schedule, all with the mission of delighting customers worldwide. The team focuses on strategic audience priorities to identify areas of opportunity in both the near and long-term, ultimately directing our development and licensing pipelines to suit customer needs.
We are seeking a Senior Strategy Manager to help shape the future of Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios' content portfolio. This role will drive programming and audience strategy across our global entertainment offering, including Original series and films like Fallout, The Summer I Turned Pretty, Red One, and The Idea of You, as well as licensed content and Live Sports. Available in 240+ countries, Prime Video aims to deliver a customer-obsessed streaming slate through data-driven insights and strategic planning.
Key job responsibilities
- Develop data-driven audience insights to optimize the Prime Video content portfolio and inform investment decisions
- Author strategic documents and quarterly business reviews for Amazon leadership, providing actionable recommendations
- Collaborate with Creative Development, Content Licensing, IP teams, and regional business leads
- Drive cross-functional projects involving Finance, Marketing, Operations, and other partner teams
- Monitor industry trends, box office performance, and content marketplace opportunities
- Support long-term strategic planning, including new business models and cross-functional opportunities
- Help evaluate release strategies and dates for series and films
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ years experience in Content Programming, Strategy, Investment Banking, Management Consulting, or a similar role within media/entertainment
- Experience building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- Experience solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial and/or data models, analyses, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits)
- Experience synthesizing complex data and articulating clear recommendations
- Experience working autonomously and leading strategic initiatives
- TV/Film industry experience
- Passion for media and entertainment
- Understanding of evolving media landscape
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with advanced Excel modeling experience (i.e., Mastery)
- Excellence in written and verbal communication, with advanced Word and PowerPoint experience (i.e., Mastery)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $101,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $177,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
