Amazon's Advertising Trust (AT) organization is seeking an exceptional Sr. Mgr. to drive our strategic business operations. This unique role combines customer advocacy with strategic planning to ensure AT's product portfolio and operations align with customer needs across our global advertising ecosystem and appropriately manages the risk associated with that portfolio.
As the leader for strategic risk, you will deeply understand advertiser, publisher, and internal stakeholder needs while orchestrating AT's strategic planning processes. This role requires strong product sense and risk assessment to evaluate and influence strategy, combined with the ability to translate customer insights into organizational priorities and operational excellence.
Key job responsibilities
Customer Experience & Product Strategy
* Own Strategic Risk program across AT's product portfolio
* Develop deep understanding of advertiser and publisher needs through direct engagement and data analysis
* Evaluate strategies and roadmaps against customer requirements to manage risk
* Identify gaps in current offerings and recommend solutions
* Partner with teams to ensure customer needs are reflected in product decisions
* Create frameworks for assessing priorities and trade-offs
Strategic Planning & Business Operations
* Lead annual operating plan (OP1/OP2) development, ensuring alignment with customer needs
* Drive 3-year strategic planning (3YP) process, incorporating customer insights
* Manage quarterly/monthly business reviews (QBR/MBR) with focus on customer impact
* Develop and maintain mechanisms to track customer satisfaction and business health
* Partner with finance on investment planning and resource allocation
Cross-Organizational Leadership
* Represent customer perspective in strategic decisions across AT
* Build relationships with key stakeholders across Amazon Advertising
* Drive alignment between customer needs and organizational priorities
* Lead working sessions with product, engineering, and science teams
* Develop customer-centric frameworks for evaluating new initiatives
Product Portfolio Management
* Maintain comprehensive view of AT's portfolio
* Identify opportunities for improvements based on customer feedback
* Drive prioritization discussions informed by customer insights
* Create mechanisms to measure impact on customer experience
* Partner with Product Marketing on customer communication strategies
* 8+ years of management experience
* 3+ years of Ads industry experience
* Track record of representing customer needs in product decisions
* Experience with strategic planning and business operations
* Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision making
* Excellence in written and verbal communication
* Bachelor's degree
* Experience in advertising technology or trust & safety
* MBA or advanced degree
* Experience with enterprise/B2B products
* Track record of influencing senior leadership
* Understanding of machine learning and content moderation
* Experience managing complex stakeholder relationships

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $142,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $236,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
