We are seeking a strategic and experienced Principal, Product Marketing Strategy. In this pivotal role, you will be the driving force behind unifying our product narrative approach across our Ads portfolio. Your work will directly impact how we understand, serve, and communicate with our customers, while ensuring alignment across product teams, sales organizations, and senior stakeholders. This role presents a unique opportunity to shape the future of our advertising solutions and create lasting impact at scale.
Key job responsibilities
- Serve as the go-to expert on audience strategy and product positioning within the Ads organization. Partnering with Inbound, Outbound, and Portfolio Marketing teams, this role will develop, operationalize, and maintain a centralized frameworks that tie the initiatives within our Ads organization together. This involves creating detailed personas and segment definitions that capture customer needs, pain points, and behaviors, while ensuring widespread adoption of this framework across all teams to foster a shared language and understanding of our customers.
- Develop and manage a consolidated marketing-led roadmap for all Ads products and solutions. This role will determine the customer stories and organizing pillars for solutions on our roadmap to help optimize our overall product offering and mechanize how we operationalize the roadmap for internal and external uses.
- Develop and maintain a clear frameworks that effectively organize and presents our products (marketecture, naming strategy). This critical work ensures consistency in how our products are positioned and communicated across all channels and teams.
- Lead our Announcement Strategy, in partnership with internal Product Marketing, PR, and Event strategy teams to ensure timely and impactful communication of new solutions and features while minimizing risk.
- 9+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
- Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams
- Experience with creating GTM initiatives at scale
- Experience working cross-functionally across marketing, product management, analytics, UX, and research
- Experience with customer segmentation, profiling, and targeting
- Experience with product and technology lifecycle management

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $153,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $252,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
