DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an experienced Software Development Manager to lead engineering and innovation on FireTV and Prime Video suite of Amazon publishers to build scaled science based ad performance suite of products for Media and Entertainment advertisers. You will be leading a 2-pizza team of talented engineers in Sunnyvale to build, operate, and scale software solutions spread across Demand and Supply side ad framework across various publishers like FireTV and Prime Video. Key job responsibilities
1. Develop technical roadmap, strategy, and facilitate the technical architecture between multiple complex systems.
2. Create buy-in for the technical vision and strategy both internally and with key external partners
3. Manage prioritization and trade-offs among customer experience, schedule, performance and cost
4. Proactively identify and resolve technical risks and issues that may impair the team's ability to meet strategic or technical goals.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional team to deliver the best experience for our customers
6. Support the professional growth and career development of your team

About the team
Device Ad Products seeks to delight worldwide customers of Amazon devices with ad-supported discovery of useful products & services. We strive to aid Amazon customer discovery through relevant, native-to-experience advertisements; help advertisers achieve marketing objectives with our ad products; and grow connected devices and digital media programs. This is a strategic initiative as Amazon's own and operated devices footprint grows.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 2+ years of engineering team management experience
- 5+ years of engineering experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $166,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $287,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
