Minimum qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Knowledge in the digital marketplace domain.
  • Ability to work across internal and external teams on initiatives aimed at improving performance and quality, while ensuring compliance adherence.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to assess the impact of regulatory programs and develop mitigation plans.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes and driving the technical directions of your programs.

In this role you will run regulatory programs to drive compliance execution collaborating with engineering, product, policy, legal and partner organizations.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Drive the execution of Google Play's regulatory programs to ensure on-time and cost-effective compliance with regulations, laws and Google policies.
  • Lead internal engagement with cross-functional teams, consisting of SMEs from different Play vertical and horizontal teams (Apps, Games, m10n, Core Platform) to identify dependencies and assess the impact of new privacy and compliance initiatives.
  • Maintain a roadmap of current and emerging privacy and regulatory initiatives, including scope, timelines, and software Engineers requirements. Engage with partner teams to identify and scope out new programs.
  • Represent product and engineering teams across regulatory forums to uncover dependencies and drive shared OKRs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across partner organizations.
