Description
- Implement preventative maintenance, troubleshoot complex equipment issues, and perform component-level repairs to maximize uptime of semiconductor R&D tools
- Analyze equipment data, implement upgrades and modifications, and develop countermeasures to prevent failures, contributing to increased yield and reduced operational costs.
- Oversee maintenance schedules, manage spare parts inventory, and handle small to medium-sized projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, generate detailed reports, and develop emergency recovery plans to ensure continuous and safe operation of critical R&D equipment.
- Independently address equipment issues and act as the primary point of contact during off-hours, ensuring seamless support for ongoing operations
- Flexibility to work shifts outside of 9am-5pm
Minimum Qualifications
3+ years of experience within a semiconductor R&D or manufacturing environment
Experience in troubleshooting and repairing Vacuum wafer fabrication equipment (such as Dry etch, ALD, PECVD, PVD or similar)
Preferred Qualifications
Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing principles and processes
Experience with CMP and backend equipment is a plus
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
Dedication to safety and quality
Experience with project management and inventory control
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
Proficiency with computer applications, including data analysis tools and documentation software (Microsoft equivalents are acceptable)
AutoCAD or Solidworks is a plus
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $122,300 and $227,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
