We are the Threat Model System team in Azure. The Threat Model System is a cloud-based service that helps Azure engineers build secure-by-design services. We are looking for a Principal Engineering Manager who models technical and service excellence and embraces Microsoft cultural values to help drive the security of Azure forward. This team leverages Large Language Models (LLMs) to analyze a service’s design for potential security defects and suggests appropriate mitigations to these issues. The team works closely with security experts across the company to incorporate security best practices.

Software Engineering M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.
