Our custom media pipeline is used for marque features such as FaceTime, Group FaceTime, SideCar, AirPlay 4k, HomeKit IP Camera, etc. Apple's Interactive Media Group (IMG) is looking for a proactive and hardworking Machine Learning engineer to help delivering the best videoconferencing experience.
Description
You will develop ML solutions to improve user experience in Videoconferencing applications such as FaceTime. Apple is uniquely positioned to develop highly precise models while strictly respecting customer privacy. You will work with software and performance software engineers to successfully integrate your solutions into the product. You are self-motivated, an excellent problem solver, a go-getter. You are quick to build relationships and work well with change and ambiguity. You have strong programming skills with tried experience crafting, prototyping, and delivering advanced algorithmic solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
In-depth expertise in applying ML algorithms on structured datasets.
Excellent programming skills in Python (common ML frameworks)
High proficiency in a major low-level coding language such as C++.
Strong software design skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in data modeling and data architecture
Experience with Streaming Media or Videoconferencing is a strong plus
Good presentation skills

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $135,400 and $250,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
