Appleʼs Health and Research Clinical Products team is looking for a Software Quality Engineer to build, execute, and, coordinate testing (manual and automated) of hardware and software supporting research and clinical studies!
Description
In this role, you will design and implement test plans, test cases, test plan reviews and integration testing across the system, collaborating frequently with multi-functional partners in order to ensure the quality of shipping and prototype product releases for health and research initiatives. Additionally, you will be responsible for risk analysis, reporting defects, analyzing test results, data validation, and publishing reports and status updates to partner teams and leadership.
This is a site-based role.
Minimum Qualifications
3-5 years experience testing mobile application software (iOS/watchOS preferred)
Proven understanding of Software QA methodologies & practices
Experience working directly with Software Engineering, Project Management and other multi-functional teams to define acceptance criteria and report quality metrics
Passion for high quality, user-focused digital health experiences
Ability to communicate technical details to non-technical audiences
Creative thinker and strong problem solver with shown ability to investigate and debug difficult problems
Preferred Qualifications
Experience leading the qualification effort for complex product/feature releases
Experience leading QA efforts for releases of sophisticated software products/features with multi-functional dependencies
Experience executing and driving test efforts for applications on devices like the iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch
You are organized, self-motivated, and comfortable adapting to frequent changes in a fast-paced and ambiguous space
Excellent interpersonal skills are a requirement due to the high level of interaction with engineering teams, management, and other organizations within Apple
Solid understanding of Appleʼs Health and Research focused products is a plus.
Familiarity with Apple's open source ResearchKit and CareKit projects.
Background in health and healthcare a plus.
Experience with software and/or device testing in the Medical and/or Health industry is a plus.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $112,900 and $188,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
